ACL Awards $5.3 Million to Enhance State NWD Systems

ACL’s Office of Network Advancement has awarded 12 new grants through the Enhancing State No Wrong Door Systems for Efficient Access to Long-Term Services and Supports funding opportunity. These two-year grants, totaling $5.3 million, will strengthen state No Wrong Door System infrastructure to make it easier for individuals in need of long-term services and supports (LTSS) to connect to existing community resources.

The following states received grants:

  • California

  • Maryland

  • Massachusetts

  • Michigan

  • Missouri

  • North Carolina

  • Rhode Island

  • Texas

  • Utah

  • Vermont

  • Virginia

  • Wisconsin

Grantee activities include aligning No Wrong Door goals with state multisector plans on aging, establishing or strengthening governance committees, modernizing information technology systems, expanding community partnerships, and strengthening the No Wrong Door workforce.

All states and territories can access support through the No Wrong Door Resource Center (NWDRC). The NWDRC provides national technical assistance to modernize outreach, information, referral, and enrollment processes through a person-first approach — striving for more efficient and user-friendly navigation of services and programs.
